Interdens® is commonly used in hardware protection, glazing systems, fire resistant shutters, cabinets, cable penetration seals etc.
Interdens® is a low pressure foaming intumescent. At temperatures above 150°C it begins to foam. A secondary foaming is observed at around 350°C and it goes on to expand between 25-95x its original volume.
This foam seals joints and gaps, closes voids and openings. Thus, the foam restricts the passage and spread of heat, smoke and flames. The heat transfer through fire resistant construction products and construction elements as well as the spread of fire are effectively delayed.
Interdens® has been extensively tested to various internationally recognised standards, including, but not limited to, BS 476:22 and BS EN 1634-1 for up to 120 minute applications. It is also covered by ETA-16/0811 (European Technical Assessment).
Interdens® comes in 3 thicknesses: 0.6mm, 1.0mm, and 2.0mm. It can be cut to any shape in sizes below or equal to 2040x1000mm. Interdens® is available in white, black, and brown. It can be supplied with or without self-adhesive tape.
