Heatseal seals the edges of components, joints and gaps during fire, forming a protective barrier that limits the spread of flame, heat and smoke effectively.
It also provides two-dimensional protection for components and can be used under cover, such as beneath veneer, or as a middle layer within laminated materials.
Heatseal activates at approximately 200°C, expanding between six and eighteen times its original volume to rapidly form an effective, durable and stable protective thermal barrier.
Expansion pressure ranges from 0.5 to 1.8N/mm², generating strong sealing force. The compound remains stable provided it is stored away from excessive moisture and humidity.
Suitable for applications tested to BS EN 1634-1 or BS 476: Part 22, including hardware protection.
Heatseal can be cut to any size required, offering complete flexibility for bespoke applications across a wide range of components and project requirements throughout industry.
The material is supplied at a standard thickness of 2.0mm ± 0.3mm, ensuring consistent performance and easy integration into a variety of fire protection assemblies.
