Interdens® is a phosphate-based intumescent sheet designed to enhance fire protection around critical areas of a certified fire door. It protects vulnerable hardware protection zones within the fire door assembly.
Manufactured by Wolman Wood & Fire protection (part of the Sika Group) and converted by Vanquish, this semi-rigid intumescent material activates at 150°C, expanding up to 95 times its original thickness to seal joints.
Low activation temperature triggers a controlled, two-stage foaming process for enhanced fire protection performance.
Expands without pressure, filling crevices and weak points without distorting surrounding door hardware.
Ideal for hinges, locks, door closers and rebated ironmongery within timber fire door installation.
Available in 0.6mm, 1mm and 2mm thickness to suit specification requirements.
Vanquish hardware protection includes unique traceability print for compliance and fire safety assurance.
Independently accredited by IFC (International Fire Consultants Ltd) under the SDP20 intumescent protection kits scheme.
Interdens® Type 5 (0.6mm thickness) is a thin, semi-rigid intumescent sheet primarily used for ironmongery protection such as intumescent hinge pads and locks. Ideal for tight tolerances in fire door assembly and certified fire door applications up to 120 minutes.
Interdens® Type 15 (1.0mm thickness) provides enhanced intumescent protection where additional material depth is required. Suitable for door hardware, intumescent seal interfaces and fire door installations requiring 30, 60, 90 or 120-minute fire protection performance.
Interdens® Type 36 (2.0mm thickness) is designed for deeper grooves and structural applications within timber fire doors and frames. Offering substantial expansion and insulation, it delivers reliable hardware protection and fire safety performance in demanding specifications.
